Aperture priority mode allows the person using the camera to adjust the aperture of the camera. This is different from manual mode because the camera automatically chooses the shutter speed to match the aperture. The aperture setting is good for adjusting depth of field in an image. An example is taking landscape pictures, because you are able to blur certain things out if you don't want them in the picture. It works by adjusting the size of the aperture in the camera allowing more or less light into the camera depending on the setting.
This photo is strong because it has a bold look to it. The black and white aspect creates a dark look. It has a strong contrast in colors, that make a clear focal point of the photograph. This rose looks like it would be colorful if it were not black and white, but since the photographer made it black and white you can't see the real color behind it. One rule that the photographer breaks is the rule of the thirds because they put the rose directly in the center of the image.
I like this photo because it shows teamwork. The caption for this photo is: "If I fall You Jump." The two people are linked together by a rope, and if one of them falls, the other person jumps down the other side to catch their fall. This photo has a meaningful story to it. It can explain a journey that these two people have taken to together. The photographer fills the frame completely which is cool. One dislike about this photo that I have is that the picture is take far away from the subject.
